Many people don’t know that early on there were great battles for control of the Internet. Companies envisioned windfall profits if they could take control.

All the usual arguments, they can do it better, would be in the public good and a host of other benefits if we would let them have their way with the Internet.

Lucky for us all it didn’t happen, uh well maybe a little by the control freaks and fear mongers, and as the Internet is growing and becoming mainstream we have found that the benefits are surprising and monumental.

Aside from the fact that global connectivity is saving lives by creating awareness of critical needs it also helps people connect to bring solutions.

A very interesting stat came out recently. Companies that rip off customers or deliver inferior products are paying up to 10x, yup 10 times not 100% of the advertising budgets of companies that serve people fairly and honestly.

Why…mostly online ratings and evaluation sites that empower the public to openly talk about their experiences with businesses.
