On a personal note, as someone that read your blog, writings, thoughts and concerns long before Wikileaks was even a glimmer in your eye.

It breaks my heart that the nation (USA) that ushered words like FREEDOM and Human Obligation to Protect the Human Dignity of Every Person onto the global stage has allowed itself to be used as it is being used.

I can assure you that like war, if your situation was brought to a vote, if the peoples voice mattered, the results would be 75%+ in your favor even with the “followers vote” (people that are easily manipulated), going the way of the manipulators.

Civilized yet?

In many ways yet, but as you have proven we are still subject to the narrow limitations of some that if they cannot or don’t take the time to even try and comprehend something.
