Prayer for President and Rosalynn Carter

President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter: “As good as it gets when needing  honorable examples of the people of the United States of America”

Due to circumstances just want you to know this.

When I was a boy, preteen, I had learned a lot of things about our world.

Some of the things I learned suggested that the learned book people didn’t have all the answers.

After much prayer asking God what in the world I could do to help I decided that I would go coast to coast and Canada to Mexico to meet and learn about as many people as I could to try and define the USA.

Along that journey I had an opportunity to go to Plains, Georgia and maybe see the President of the United States.

I was lucky and got to spend the day and evening in a hotel with the Secret Service, FBI and the press that were all there to see President Carter off to Washington DC to relinquish the Office of the Presidency to the next President Ronald Reagan.

Him being an Admiral and me being an Ex Marine that was very dissatisfied with the way the Vietnam War ended and that had traded my GI bill in for an early out so I could continue my journey which led me immediately to investigating who these people were that thought they had the right to sacrifice so many lives and so much money then lose a war.

Anyway when standing in line the next morning to see him off he shook my hand with a metal quick release glove on.

I will never forget it. It was the greatest wake-up call I could have ever gotten.

The message to me was: “Wake up son, you’re not in Kansas anymore!”

So Sir, knowing that you are having some health challenges I just wanted you to know that my coming book “The Weaving Disciple” will be dedicated to you.

Dedication
For James Earl Carter Jr. and Eleanor Rosalynn Carter
Two people that walk a path valuable to both God and Mankind.
Thank you for the wake-up call: “Wake up son, you’re not in Kansas anymore!”
Thank You both for all of the millions of lives you touched with grace.
Thank you for teaching the world that life, personal integrity and our obligation to both God and our fellow man should come long before a love of money.

Never Fret and Never Quit, Jesus is with us every minute!
God Bless You Both!
