The End of Greatness
Interesting Patterns in the Failure of Great Societies
History tells us about many great societies that did everything right to become great, had everything going for them, and then failed miserably. Leaving grandparents, adults, young adults and children alike with ravaging bands of tyrants, murderers, rapists, slave makers, water shortages and starvation to deal with. From reading about the failures of some of those societies, those who’s histories weren’t rewritten by the corrupt to hide their evil deeds, simple patterns could be seen.
The most interesting to me was the breakdown of morality including the civilized ways in which people used to deal with each other. As it became clear to the people that their leaders were liars, cheats and thieves, moral bankruptcy and treachery replaced the civilized ways that are necessary for a society to be safe, happy, enjoy life and each other.
“A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.” — Samuel Adams, 1779
The number one ingredient was that the criminals and thieves do somehow get control of the national treasury so they can rob it and/or use the funds to strip the citizens of the society of their dignity and bring them to their knees. Stealing under auspices of fear or a cold war, where huge amounts of funds are stolen on a regular basis by a small group of people after they scare the public with lies and deception. Or they create “programs” or “projects” that are actually used for things that will hurt the nation and would never be approved by the “ignorant” general public if they knew the truth about what was really going on. Then their corporations paying less than a living wage after they introduce you to debt slavery by the medical community or educational institutions.
“The battle, Sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, Sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains… — Patrick Henry
So obviously you must apply the third major ingredient, make FREE SPEECH illegal. And in the last ten years we have seen both elected officials and business leaders go on television or radio and call for the deaths of people that were trying to prove to us that we are being systematically robbed by sophisticated criminals. Including elected and state officials meeting with, (live action TV) the leaders of huge churches to try and terminate the separation of church and state to try to get them to initiate doctrines or dogma of fear of aliens, green monsters under our beds and duty bound whistleblowers who feel as citizens of humanity they must show us the truth. Then they milk billions of dollars out of our treasury and nation budget.
“They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.” — Ben Franklin, 1759
If you watch the size of a nations “Black Market” you can pretty much gauge if and when dangerous times are coming. Black market being commerce and trade of things the people of the society want or need but as a result of their being disassociated with the ruling power base can no longer get including food and water. A growing or huge black market is a real signal that a nation is headed toward third world status.
To all of those who were told that it was about HONOR and DUTY – I still cry everytime..
I will get back when I can…
I don’t know if anyone reads this website but please excuse me, the rest of this piece will have to be edited later on.
In order to destroy a nation you must first centralize power.
Then corrupt the different offices and agencies in the centralized power center. Money is the best tool for this, or corruption of the money systems. Because the unfairness will cause the people born to duty of social responsibility will start leaving the ranks of the political leadership.
They will usually opt for safer more peaceful lives elsewhere with many opting for the private corporate sector. Since the personality of a corporation has been designed to be psychopathical, to consume everything and erode anything in its way including the laws of the society that governs it.
The honest and peaceful will eventually leave its ranks too, seeking to live life in a way that is safe, peaceful and enjoyable.
Now that you have widespread corruption you will need a disaster like a hurricane, floods etc. to rally the people together, even if it is war.
Then you form a centralized security system, putting people in charge that have recently endured some type of tragedy like having their pensions, that they spent many years earning, stolen. Bitter people.
That will add the necessary treachery to the core of people that now have all of the security information about all people in that nation.
This will create widspread tresspassing on our lives and also add the ingredients of the sophisticated white collar criminal who can now get their hands on all kinds of personal information because right to privacy is no longer a human right in the USA as it is in Europe and most developed civilized nations.
Then you must have the abuses of power and authority of the generally miserable people that every society has, or those who will use the unverified information to hurt, libel or just slander other because misery loves company.
This will all serve to create cynicism and general distrust among the population which adds to the breaking of the nations spirit. Like maybe putting big screen televisions in the marketplaces that tell people to be watching their neighbors and turn them in if they do not conform to being fearful (like looking under their bed for desert people or any of a number of other monsters) or if they are just weird or not politically correct.
And whoop there you have it, the illusion of separation – divide and conquer.

Where small pockets all across the world including in the USA are smart enough to believe in and care about themselves, their families and communities so they are developing their own currencies and barter systems for safety, survival and a persuit of happiness.
