The reintroduction of despicable communist business practices in the USA!
This is 2016 and we have made a lot of headway in making life more reasonable and rational, for some reason some companies are trying to turn the clock back to predatorial business practices instead of being a reasonable, rational and fair part our great world. Predatory business points to, as many professional business people will tell you, incompetence in management or just plain ole sadistic greed.
My first months fees at Planet Fitness totaled $89.99. Do you want the t shirt back?
Why is this so important? Because incompetent business owners (the franchiser) is training the youngsters that are the staff to fight tooth and nail when asked for any reasonable rational explanation of that businesses decisions to abuse the ignorant public.
They are not trained as to the facts and are the front line to put up with anger of customers that feel violated or victimized. Which may make them, the clerk, feel victimized or threatened so they call in the folks with guns and dogs to beat you down.
This is regarding a $10 or $19,99 monthly fee to be able to work out in a fitness facility promising a Judgment Free Zone with No Commitment (contract) etc.
Just by circumstance there was a $1.00 signup special and all I had to do was to give them my bank account and routing number, $1.00 and sign 5 – 6 – 7 illegible to me something’s on a tiny electronic screen. They do not give you hard copies of what you sign.
Evidently for signing and giving them $1.00 I agreed to some type of commitment because this is how it goes down after that.
You walk up to a counter and say I would like XYZ. They say OK that will be $10, you pull out your money and say I only have $9.00. BZZZZZ GOTCHA, their little buddies knock you down and take valuables worth $40.00…$30.00 for NSF because they have sidestepped the new laws that we passed giving all account holders an opportunity to opt out of Overdraft Protection and $10.00 for their own late fees.
Then 10 days later they do it again and take $30.00 more of your money. But making the bank be the collection agent, I don’t know if the bank splits the winnings.
That is why they ask for bank account and routing numbers so they can train you to pay on time by taking hundreds of times more than even the original amount as a FU or GOTCHA fee. Instead of today’s norm, especially for monthly fees that are less than $20.00, which is not that hard because everyone that enters must scan their card and if they haven’t paid then they cannot come in. Instead of beating us down like dogs.
Now, for a little history. With the speed of growth of the Internet and the hard work coding and building code systems the communists that never give a product or service for their income didn’t know that we built thousands of businesses without the predatory practice of GOTCHA give us extra money or else!
What amazed me is the fervor of which the employees jump you hard and forcefully if you try to discuss reasonably and rationally the situation. Their stance is pay the extra fees or get lost. And you better get lost or they may even call the police on you then they have people with guns and dogs demanding that you pay or else.
Protect yourself.
Don’t sign the electronic screens without getting a hard copy.
Don’t do business with people that ask you for your bank account and routing number.
Surely God’s goodness and love will follow you all the days of your life, and may you dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
