Social Responsibility; What is it?

(For Mickey, one of the bravest friends I have ever had, who is right now on the operating table. “May God Bless her, the doctors and all of the medical staff at the hospital she is in.”)

Social Responsibility what is it?
It is human decency. Social responsibility entered my consciousness when I used to sell newspapers in front of the factory entrances in Anderson, Indiana.

It was a beautiful thing to watch thousands of people go in and out the doors of the different plants. Both the management and unions were fair and everyone was making a living wage, enough even to raise families, have a savings account and buy just about anything they wanted as long as they managed their money prudently.

Of course there was the drinkers and the partiers, but those that wanted to raise families and live life on the straight and narrow could do so. Much of our life is about choices, freewill is an inalienable right for every soul.

I remember sitting in the local tavern with my mom and big shots from corporate headquarters debating the different aspects of social responsibility. Back then everyone seemed to be nicer and there was a fundamental brotherhood no matter which camp you represented.

Even management understood, basic common sense, that if people didn’t make a living wage they couldn’t buy products.

Then the game started changing, now we know why. And pardon my brashness, but a few people, mentally deranged, decided to change the game and exploit our open government and society and the structure that was set in place in 1913. Which is when a small group of business people, for shitz and giggles, decided that the USA was not sophisticated enough to handle or manage the phenomenal growth and vast wealth in both people and resources. So they formed a few organizations to help us out. Ha

They weren’t psychopaths or monsters, but their dying off by attrition resulted in a void, leaving incompetent baboons in charge which ensued in an attempted coup around 1933 more about that here which was thwarted by Retired Marine Corp General Smedley Butler.

Anyway to shorten things up. Just in my lifetime we have went from businesses and business owners wanting to and being able to pay a living wage as part of the normal economic cycle of a safe and happy society to our people being the prey of huge corporate monsters and psychopaths that have no social responsibility or conscience regarding the effects of their operations on the society of the United States of America or even humanity in general.

A good way to define social responsibility might be to include brotherhood and heart in our organizations and lives so we can ensure that everyone have a peaceful and pleasurable life, whatever their pleasure may be. Within reason of course. And at the same time bring government back to protecting the people and society, which is what they are supposed to be doing, instead of being corporate lackey’s for the greedy and selfish whose only interest in life seems to be a new yacht or hooker without any regard to the damage or collateral damage they are doing to not just our society but the people of the entire world, humanity as a whole.

Now that we have computers, fantastic programs, global communication and millions of people willing to help. We have all the tools to make life and humanity what it is meant to be, fun, happy and enjoyable. instead of what the mentally ill are constantly selling us and tricking us into with their selfishness and evil machinations.

Social responsibility is an inalienable duty! And monitoring that is what we pay our governments for. Not to pile up insane bureaucratic bullcrap which is now prohibitive to even the smallest of enterprises. Enterprises we need so that not only people can have a sense of self worth but so that even the smallest of economic circles can be reinstated instead of the huge outside organizations that are now being socially irresponsible and bleeding our lives out of us. Social responsibility is an inalienable duty!
